1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Chatatouille application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of service

Chatatouille is an AI-powered cooking companion that helps you organize recipes, create shopping lists, track cooking sessions, set goals, and receive personalized AI guidance. The App includes both mobile and web-based features.

3. User accounts

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. User content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App, including recipes, shopping lists, ratings, and chat messages. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

For social features (shared cooks, public profiles), you grant other users the ability to view content you choose to share publicly.

5. AI features

The App uses artificial intelligence to provide cooking suggestions, parse recipes, generate images, and power the chat assistant. AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate. You should use your own judgment when following AI-generated cooking advice, especially regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary restrictions.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure or other users’ use of the service.
• Use automated means to access the App beyond normal app usage.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

7. Shared content and links

When you share a shopping list via link, anyone with that link can view and interact with the list. You are responsible for managing access to your shared links. We are not responsible for how recipients use shared content.

8. Availability and changes

We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

9. Limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages from AI-generated content, food preparation based on App suggestions, or data loss.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, though we may retain your data as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
